This eye popping show stopping fluorescent willemite and calcite is from one of my favorite localities in the world, the Sterling Hill Mine. Filmed using only an iphone and a handheld longwave UV light I can't properly show just how fluorescent this wonderful specimen is. For those fluorescent collectors out there you know just how sought after an euhedral willemite crystal on matrix is, and just how hard they are becoming to find. Like almost all specimens from this locality the willemite popped off the matrix and was repaired to its original position. The largest willemite crystal is 2.2cm long.
