Andradite Garnet, Quartzite Mountain , Stanley Mining District, Santa Teresa Mountains, Graham Co., Arizona, USA

$0.00
Sold Out

Size: 5.0x4.2x2.2cm

Mineral: Andradite Garnet

Locality: Quartzite Mountain , Stanley Mining District, Santa Teresa Mountains, Graham Co., Arizona, USA

Description: When I saw this specimen the number one locality that came to my mind was Stanley Butte. Which is now actually referred to as Quartzite Mountain near Stanley Butte on Mindat, however the original label states the locality as being the Iron Cap Mine. This was most likely done to give a locality that was not on tribal controlled land . This Golden/Greenish/Yellow garnet with a beautiful metallic luster from the former personal collection of California mineral collector and dealer Chuck Trantham. Excellent quality and a very reasonable price on this one.
