Azurite, Malachite Ps. Azurite, Rosasite, Tsumeb Mine, Oshikoto Region, Namibia
Size: 6x3x2.5 cm
Species: Azurite, Malachite Ps. Azurite, Rosasite
Locality: Tsumeb Mine, Oshikoto Region, Namibia
Description: Rosasite after azurite is one of the most sought after Pseudomorph specimens from the Tsumeb Mine. I find this specimen particularly unique because it has a secondary mineralization of sharp and lustrous electric blue azurite crystals perched on the surface of the primary crystals. The vibrant green malachite under the rosasite coating, alongside flashy azurite makes for a very colorful and glittering combination. The specimen is well crystallized and quite unusual. A prize for any Tsumeb collector.
