Azurite, Malachite, Tsumeb Mine, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

$1,250.00

Size: 7.0x3.2x1.8 cm

Species: Azurite, Malachite

Locality: Tsumeb Mine, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

Description: A stellar azurite from Tsumeb with minor malachite and what appears to be duftite on the backside. Sharp all around and double-terminated with unique, multi-pointed, serrated edges on both sides. Lustrous, with great color, and in fabulous condition. I note a single millimeter sized ding to a piece of azurite stuck between some matrix that is hardly visible. Beyond that there are only the occasional interruptions of growth from the matrix, but no damage to mention. A great example of a common mineral from a classic locale.
