Description: Here is a wonderfully translucent baryte cluster from the Meikle Mine. The piece has great luster and is good condition with only some minor edge chatter. This particular specimen came was collected by Casey Jones when he held the commercial mineral specimen collecting contract with the mine. This Meikle mine is now a part of the Goldstrike Mine which is a joint operation between Barrick and Newmont. This massive mine combines the Betze-Post open-pit with the Meikle and the Rodeo underground mines. A wonderful specimen from an important American mining locality. From the Casey Jones collection.
