Baryte, Quartz, Murray Mine, Elko County, Nevada, USA

$700.00

Size: 9.2x6.3x2.4 cm

Species: Baryte, Quartz

Locality: Murray Mine, Elko County, Nevada, USA

Description: A great cluster example of the “Sugar Bowl Pocket” find at the Murray Mine. Contacted on the backside, the display face is pristine. There is a small scattering of later stage barytes atop the quartz layer. This material was nicknamed the “sugar bowl” due to the druzy quartz coating the blocky baryte crystals. This specimen is from the personal collection of Casey Jones who held the commercial specimen collecting contract for the Murray Mine when this find was made.
