Size: 10.0x7.9x4.7 cm
Species: Baryte, Quartz
Locality: Murray Mine, Elko County, Nevada, USA
Description: A quality example of the “Sugar Bowl Pocket” find at the Murray Mine. There is a later stage growth of smaller translucent barytes scattered around the specimen, as well as some minor small stibnite blades on the backside of the piece. Very minor damage along the outer edge of the specimen, otherwise in great condition. This material was nicknamed the “sugar bowl” due to the druzy quartz coating the blocky baryte crystals. This specimen is from the personal collection of Casey Jones who held the commercial specimen collecting contract for the Murray Mine when this find was made.
