Description: Here we have a fantastic English calcite “heart” twin from the historic (1800s) collection of Dr. F. Krantz, a famous German mineralogist and one of the most renowned mineral dealers in Europe during his time. Even without taking the provenance into consideration this is a fantastic specimen. The calcite is water clear and displays excellent birefringence with sharply defined terminations and lustrous faces. A heck of a miniature specimen for the discerning collector.
