Calcite, Pugh Quarry, Weston, Wood Co., Ohio, USA

$125.00

Size: 6.8x4.2x3.0 cm

Species: Calcite

Locality: Pugh Quarry, Weston, Wood Co., Ohio, USA

Description: A quality cluster of vibrant orange calcites from a classic midwest locale. This Ohio quarry is known for its production of orange “dogtooth” scalenohedral calcites. This example is sharp and semi-lustrous, sitting on a bit of matrix. I note a single miniscule ding to one termination and an impression on one crystal. Contacted on the backside, but overall in great condition and an aesthetic grouping. Ex: Dennis Novak

ID: 27322
