Mineral: Calcite with Phantom and Manganese Dendrite Inclusions

Locality: Dachang Sn-polymetallic Field, Nandan County, Hechi, Guangxi, China

Description: This is a fabulous calcite with a lot going on. The piece is of very fine optical quality and naturally has rainbow refractions shooting through it. There is a distinct and sharp phantom present near the termination. There are beautiful swirling dendritic manganese inclusions located in the bottom half of the crystal. The pinacoidal termination is sharp and well defined. You really couldn’t ask more for a calcite from this locality.
