Calcite Chalcopyrite, Brushy Creek Mine, Greeley, Reynolds County, Missouri, USA

$0.00
Sold Out

Size: 12.6x6.8x3.7 cm

Species: Calcite Chalcopyrite Marcasite

Locality: Brushy Creek Mine, Greeley, Reynolds County, Missouri, USA

Description: This is a gorgeous specimen from one of my favorite localities in the Midwest, the Brushy Creek Mine. Specimens of superb quality have been produced here for decades although lately there is less of quality coming out. This specimen features sharp intact scalenohedral calcite crystals with marcasite inclusions giving them a gray color. On the exterior of the calcite there is a nice association of chalcopyrite and marcasite. Ex. Mel Bersch
