Cerussite, Tsumeb Mine , Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

$250.00

Size: 6.0x4.6x2.5 cm

Species: Cerussite

Locality: Tsumeb Mine , Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

Description: The unique part of this cerussite from Tsumeb is that it is actually untwinned. The crystal habit is best illustrated in Goldschmidt Volume II Page 158 Figure 4. While it may seem odd that I am excited it is not twinned you have to remember that most cerussite specimens from Tsumeb exhibit some form of twinning. So untwinned specimens from here are actually the exception.
