Cuprite, Luifengshan mine, Guichi District, Chizhou, Anhui Province, China

$800.00

Size: 6.5x6.1x3.4cm

Species: Cuprite

Locality: Luifengshan mine, Guichi District, Chizhou, Anhui Province, China

Description: Deep red cuprite with metallic luster on matrix. The well-formed, highly lustrous and attractive crystals are a deep blood red in bright light or when backlit. This specimen has great aesthetics with the contrast between the matte gray botryoidal matrix and brightly shining cuprite. Even though copper minerals from the Luifengshan Mine are fairly new to the market, its cuprite specimens rival some of the best cuprites from all over the world.
