Size: Cabinet

Species: Fluorite with Calcite

Locality: Denton Mine, Harris Creek Mining Sub-District, Hardin County, Illinois, USA

Description: This color is highly sought after by collectors for its eye astounding mixture of blue and purple. This is one of the top colors available from the Denton Mine locality. The raised purple corners and calcite crystals add depth and a complexity to the specimen that gives the observer a pause as they examine the many details. In my opinion this is an excellent Illinois fluorite for almost any level of collector.

Please note this specimen is shown backlit in a display case. The image was taken on an iphone and there is no photo editing.
