Sold Out

Size: 8.3x5.6x4.2cm, Main Cube 3.1cm on edge

Species: Fluorite on Sphalerite with Calcite

Locality: Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith Co., Tennessee, USA

Description: Beautiful intact fluorite cube sits on ruby jack sphalerite that when backlit shows a wonderful red color in the tips of the crystals. There are several scalenohedral calcite crystals sitting on top of the fluorite cube completing the trifecta of associated mineral species that this mine is quite famous for. This specimen of fluorite is especially attractive due to the intense saturated purple color that specimens from this locality are often lacking. If you have been looking for a beautiful combination specimen from this mine look no further.
