Size: 6x6x3 cm
Species: Fluorite
Locality: Rosiclare Horizon, Denton Mine, Harris Creek, Hardin County, Illinois, USA
Description: A fully crystallized specimen of vibrant blue and purple fluorite from the famous Denton Mine. Backlights well to show gemmy interior and saturated color. Lustrous textured faces and sharp edges all around. The backside is recrystalllized and shimmers with small stepped crystal faces. There is minor chalcopyrite present on the back as well. In fantastic condition, I note no damage to the display face. There is a half centimeter ding on the backside that is not visible from the front. Minor bitumen has created some fluorescence on the specimen.
