Description: These blue halite specimens were collected by Phil Simmons and others between 2007 and 2012 at the Kerr McGee Mine in New Mexico and is the best find of blue halite in the US and perhaps internationally as well. This particular specimen consists of a sharp bright blue halite crystal sitting on a bed of white and red sylvinite. The main crystal is in good with only minor rubs. A translucent crystal of colorless sylvite penetrates in the halite crystal adding further complexity to the specimen.
