Description: This is a beautiful cluster of glassy, gemmy Herkimer Diamond quartz with three large crystals and a couple smaller flawless crystals growing on the side. There is a small chip on the back of the largest quartz, and as with most Herkimer clusters, the specimen has been repaired.

Herkimer diamonds are high quality doubly terminated quartz crystals which come from the area around Herkimer county in New York. These quartz crystals are famous worldwide, sought after by collectors for their extreme clarity and sharp crystalline form. There are a variety of localities within Herkimer county where Herkimer diamonds can be found. These particular specimens come from the Ace of Diamonds Mine near the town of Newport.
