Description: A beautiful sharp well saturated pink manganoan smithsonite from Tsumeb. The luster is great and the piece is in fantastic condition. The bright pink/salmon colored smithsonite is nicely offset by the gold colored pyrite matrix. These particular manganoan smithsonites were mined 1984-1985 and are much harder to find than the cobaltoan variety. A fantastic specimen if you collect contemporary classics. Ex.
