Description: Here we have a wonderfully rich plate of sharp red rhodochrosite crystals up to 1.1cm on a sparkling matrix of pyrite, galena, and sphalerite offset by needles of white quartz. This particular specimen can be traced from its catalog number SH2414 painted on the back of the piece to be from the Blue Moon Pocket which was collected in 1996. I note 4 repairs on this specimen.
