Locality: Capillitas Mining District, Andalgala Department, Catamarca Province, Argentina

Description: A pair of connected rhodochrosite stalactites from this famous occurrence in Argentina. In good condition, I note only some miniscule rubs. There is what appears to be some sulphide coating on the tips of the stalactites. The bottom is polished to showcase the sharp inner concentric rings that formed this specimen.
