Sapphire, Potanino, Chelyabinskaya Oblast’, Russia

$550.00

Size: 4.1x3.7x2.4cm

Mineral: Sapphire

Locality: Potanino, Chelyabinskaya Oblast’, Russia

Description: This blue sapphire is from a fairly unique locality. The original label stated the locality as Potamino which when researching online I found to be a misspelling of the actual locality of Potanino. It is hard to find much information about the history or the mineralogy of this area online when searching in English. Either way it is a great saturated blue sapphire specimen on matrix from a unique locality.
