Description: A unique association of silver on dioptase from the Congo. There are a couple crystalline silvers nestled in the lustrous, saturated dioptase. The backside displays impressions of what appears to be calcite that the dioptase had grown on. In great condition, there are only very minor dings to some dioptase along the periphery. These specimens are very unusual and I had to comb through huge amounts of material searching for this very unique association. For anyone interested I am happy to provide a copy of the SEM EDS analysis done on one of the specimens from this lot.
