Description: What this specimen may lack in color saturation in normal lighting, it more than makes up for in luster. Its excellent velvety surface reflects light and seems to shimmer at every angle in nearly any lighting condition. This smithsonite is even more of a showstopper under long wave UV light in which it fluoresces a bright neon pinkish orange color. Choix is well known as being one of the best localities in the world for velvety botryoidal smithsonites.
