Smithsonite, Lavrion District, Attica, Greece
Size: 12.5x8.5x4 cm
Species: Smithsonite
Locality: Lavrion District, Attica, Greece
Description: The color and form of this smithsonite are top notch. The saturated blue is not common from Lavrion and I thought it was from the Kelly Mine when I first saw this specimen in Europe. The form is quite nice with a large 3.7cm diameter ball sitting perched right at the apex of the specimen. This specimen has a wonderful satiny luster and is a visual treat in a display case. A wonderful Lavrion specimen for the connoisseur.
