Locality: Tsumeb Mine, Oshikoto Region, Namibia
Description: A vibrant yellow smithsonite with great luster and a nice botryoidal texture makes this specimen visually appealing. . In great condition, with no damage to the display face. I note two spots of damage on either side of the specimen, which are not readily visible. Crystallized all around otherwise. Most of the smithsonites of this style were not saved by the miners even thought it was a major ore mineral due to the smithsonite being brightly colored. They are not easy to find for sale even by knowlegable smithsonite collectors. Ex: Jack Nieburger
