Locality: Shuikoushan Mine, Changning Co., Hengyang, Hunan, China
Description: A classic combination from this Chinese locality that is well known for its saturated, gemmy sphalerites in association with quart that is often a pale amethyst. Some of the vibrant orange sphalerites on this specimen are partially coated by a druzy quartz, and there is glittering luster all over. Crystallization is present on the backside as well. In great condition, I note only two small dings to sphalerite that are not distracting. Ex: Gene Schlepp
