Description: This is an unusual combination, displaying a green, blocky vesuvianite on matrix with vibrant pink grossular garnets. This locality is best known for it garnets but also produces these nicely defined crystals of vesuvianite. I would say they are rarely seen accompanied together, and especially as a quality specimen such as this one. In great condition, I note only a small ding to one garnet that is hardly noticeable. Nice color contrast, and good luster, with sharp edges all around. Ex: Gene Schlepp, J. R. Elks
